Guidance and Suffering

What is the nature of the guidance humans receive? There seems to be an increasing number of channels making the rounds and this always brings up the question in me: What are they channeling? What is the wisdom that I tap into in this ongoing “conversation” I’ve been engaging in for over 20 years?

I had a conversation with a friend yesterday and I asked him about the “entities” that he considers to be his guides. He has the idea of a group of wise beings who love and appreciate him and nudge him through his heart and emotional body.

I think of this differently because I don’t want to fall into the—very human-centric—idea of separate beings. When I imagine my conversations with Wisdom, I think of the process as a matter of me finding my way to a doorway beyond which lies all Wisdom, all Power, all Love. The Wisdom then filters through my word-oriented local consciousness and I do my best to form sentences that match the abstract ideas that flow from that field.
